These Clamps feature a inner housing that is sealed with 2x O-Rings and a quick release outer shell.  The use of these allows for upto 10° axial movement while maintaining a perfect seal unlike a traditional V-Band where there is little to no give in the join and over time is likely to fail.These can be welded in to replace another join as well as directly to intercoolers and throttle bodies.
